Longleaf's Moon Shadow

Jack

Jack (left) was our first flatcoat and was one of those really special dogs that cannot be replaced. He loved playing hockey with John...(he was the goalee) and he was a great frisbee dog. Of course, he was also a great swimmer and loved summers at our house in Lake Lure, NC, where he had his special swimming area off the dock. Jack was born in May 91 and passed away June 5 01. His ashes were scatterd in the lake on a beautiful morning in June.

Longleaf's Dark Secret

Mitch

We brought Mitch (right in both pictures) home in July 93. Mitch is a female. She was devoted to Jack and the two of them were never seperated until his death. She grieved for weeks. We decided to get her a new companion, and Storm came into our lives in September 01. The two of them are happy together and enjoy swimming off the dock where a metal dog angel is in the garden in honor of Jack and he looks over them.

Longleaf's Stairway to Heaven

Storm

Storm (left in both pictures) came into our lives in September 01 as a new companion for Mitch. The two of them are happy together and enjoy swimming off the dock where a metal dog angel is in the garden in honor of Jack and he looks over them.

Storm won "Best Puppy trick" in his obedience class.
